Linda Duke
Principal & CEO

Ms. Duke is CEO of Duke Marketing, which she founded in 1987 specializing in marketing for multi-location and franchise organizations. Ms. Duke has consulted with top restaurant brands in the United States, negotiated media in foreign markets, nationally and on a regional and local level. She has developed new brands, completed corporate positioning plans, created award-winning advertising and public relations strategies, produced customized local store marketing programs and toolkits and hundreds of grand openings for numerous multi-unit and franchise organizations.

  • Duke Marketing has consulted 20 of the top 400 Restaurant Chains in the United States.

  • Ms. Duke is a nationally recognized speaker and educator. She speaks frequently at industry and client conferences, such as the National Restaurant Association annual convention to a standing room only crowd, the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo, Florida's Restaurant & Hospitality Expo, The International Restaurant & Foodservice show in New York & Las Vegas, Fast Casual Executive Summit, Restaurant Hospitality's Concepts of Tomorrow, and The World Trade Center-Miami Annual Americas Food & Beverage Conference to name a few.

  • Ms. Duke is a published author with a 300 page restaurant operator marketing resource entitled, “Four Star Restaurant  Marketing Cookbook—Recipes for Restaurateurs™” www.marketing-cookbook.com.

  • Ms. Duke is a member of the board of directors of the California Restaurant Association's Educational Foundation (CRAEF) and the Fast Casual Executive Alliance. She is a contributing writer for several restaurant, hospitality and franchise industry trade and business publications.

  • Ms. Duke is an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University in San Francisco where she has taught Advertising Strategy to the MBA students. She guest lectures at various colleges and universities including Sonoma State University and San Diego State University.

  • Ms. Duke has built relationships with the media, and manages public relations and media relations for clients worldwide. She has landed TV news segments on CNN, CNBC, FOX News, Travel Channel, numerous segments on the Food Network and local television stations across the country. Ms. Duke also manages investor relations for publicly-held companies and is an expert in crisis communications.

  • Ms. Duke holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Advertising and an Executive MBA in Integrated Marketing Communications from one of the top 10 executive MBA programs in the country, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.

  • Ms. Duke served as Vice President of Marketing and Advertising, for McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 100 Company. Managed all marketing aspects of 5,400 Valu-Rite Pharmacies and 850 HealthMart Pharmacies in the United States with a staff of 12.

  • Ms. Duke served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at HQ Business Centers, a 186 unit, $250 million, global franchise network of executive business suites. Produced sales collateral for seventeen countries in seven different languages. Managed staff of 16.

Besides Ms. Duke's clients, she has spent many hours providing her consulting expertise to non-profit organizations. Duke Marketing has provided pro bono re-naming and branding work for two non profit organizations.

With over 30 years of experience in sales, management, training, operations and finance, Michael runs the day-to-day business of Duke Marketing. His extensive background plus course materials he created are implemented with many of Duke Marketing’s clients. “Even the best marketing will have limited effectiveness unless the company integrates it into every level of the organization,” stated Michael Fagen. “Client relations not only keeps you in business, it is paramount for success.
