DUKE MARKETING LANDS RAPIDLY EXPANDING
FIVE GUYS BURGERS AND FRIES FOR MARKETING DUTIES

San Rafael, Calif. - May 9, 2005 - Duke Marketing™, an Integrated Marketing Communications firm, announced today it has been hired by Five Guys Burgers and Fries, the 50+ unit, Lorton, Virginia based burger chain. The Five Guys chain has retained Duke Marketing to provide marketing, public relations and local store marketing consulting.

"With our goal to have 200 stores open by the end of the year, we knew we needed to have Duke Marketing work with us to ramp up and build our brand in our new markets," Jerry Murrell, CEO and founder, Five Guys, Inc.

Jerry Murrell opened his first Five Guys Burgers and Fries in 1986. He didn't plan on growing such a large chain when he started Five Guys 18 years ago. He just wanted to make large homemade burgers like the ones he ate in college. Today, more than 45 licensees have signed up to operate more than 300 restaurants across the U.S.

"Jerry's Five Guys Burgers has gained an incredible cult following in their heritage market, now our goal will be to get that same cult following in all their new locations," stated Linda Duke, CEO and Principal of Duke Marketing.

And our fries…they're cooked in 100 percent peanut oil, not canola or vegetable oil. Our fries have no cholesterol, no preservatives. They're hand-cut everyday from Idaho potatoes."
